About Lisa Kitter
Lisa started off her life as many people do…without great advantages or financial stability. She was raised in Alaska and lived without running water or electricity for many years. Lisa’s father was an alcoholic and her wonderful mother was severely injured in a work related accident when Lisa was just eleven years old. She learned at a young age what it was like to work and to take on the responsibilities of running a busy household.
At a young age, Lisa made the life-changing discovery that not everybody lived as she and her family lived. There were people in the world living wonderful, exciting lives and with all the luxuries her home never had to go along with it! By age twelve, she knew she wanted to do something different with her life and to be someone different than anyone she knew at that time.
Lisa became an avid reader of any and all books. She read everything from paperback romances to mysteries, short stories, and autobiographies. Reading opened a door of opportunities and ideas to her that she had never imagined existed until then. It was during this period of time that she was introduced to several self-help, self-empowerment types of books. It was love at first sight!
Thus, Lisa’s quest for self development began. After graduating high school, she attempted to attend the local community college in her area, only to discover, that they were teaching her something completely different than she had been reading in all of her books from the library. She made an immediate decision to drop out of college and only to, from that day forward, attend self development workshops, seminars and lectures.
Lisa became a single mom at the age of eighteen, but instead of finding her child (Brenden - pictured at the right) to be a burden to her life, she credits him with being her driving and motivating force for continued self improvement. She wanted to provide her son with all of the many opportunities she had never had access to and to offer him a lifestyle of abundance and personal freedom.
When Lisa was just nineteen she became the General Manager at a hotel/restaurant and lounge with a liquor store and sundry shops, as well. She contributes her success in this job to the many self-development courses and trainings she had attended, as well as the many hundreds of books she had ready by this time in her life. It was around this same period of time that Lisa was introduced to the dynamic world of Network Marketing!
A true love affair with the concept of self-employment began and continues to this very day.
When you first speak with Lisa or you hear one of her many trainings, you notice a few things immediately; she’s real and she’s sincere. She doesn’t pretend to know it all or to be better than you. Her style is upbeat, fun and motivating. She can be direct when necessary and yet, always retains her sense of humor.
Thank goodness for Lisa’s sense of humor because life hasn’t always been easy and her success in the network marketing industry only came through many years of perseverance and persistent, determined, focused effort! She went through years of struggle, practically going bankrupt in order to stay in business. At one time, life in her network marketing career was so tough she took odd evening and weekend jobs to make ends meet.
If you’ve ever had people laugh at your dreams, scoff at your business opportunity and products, as well as make fun of your ambition, then you would be in good company with Lisa. She experienced all that and more. However, instead of becoming discouraged, she dug her heels in and became more stubborn than ever to succeed and achieve her dreams.
Lisa ultimately found several mentors, teachers and network marketing gurus she was able to be mentored by for a few years. This mentoring was the ultimate training she required in order to become a very successful network marketer and then later, a trainer, coach, author and speaker for the industry.
For the past seven years Lisa has dedicated her time to assisting others to achieve success in their businesses and in life through personal coaching and mentoring. Long before personal coaching was all the rage that it is today, Lisa was a Coach. She doesn’t teach and guide people on things she reads in books or on what she learned in coaching school. Her experience in this industry has been attained by living the story, Lisa climbed the ladder from rags to riches and teaches from her own journey of success. She is known throughout the Network Marketing & Direct Sales Industry as the “Queen of Thinking Big!”
