It’s a Business, Not a Job

Now that you’re clear on the WHY or the reason you’re committed to building a Network Marketing business for yourself, there are a couple of points that are worth emphasizing.

Network Marketing is a simple business (meaning there are simple steps to engage in daily) but it is not necessarily an easy business, because some people won’t commit to doing the simple steps.

Why?

Many people expect a get rich quick scheme, network marketing is not that. Direct sales is a legitimate way to create and earn as much as is desired, but it takes work, as any business does and it takes time and commitment.

And along the way, most people bump up against their own inner-resistance that they may not have even known they had. You see, being an entrepreneur requires that you tap into many aspects of yourself, that aren’t necessarily exposed in a job type situation.

That’s right, in a job type situation there are guidelines, timelines, goals, schedules, requirements, job descriptions, and more that are setup largely by someone else. That someone else also has the full responsibility of the business and of course, all the benefits of the business too!

As an entrepreneur, you are the CEO of your own business, and it requires that you tap into abilities that you more than likely possess, but that may be uncomfortable or unfamiliar to access at times.

It is accessing those entrepreneurial abilities, even when it’s uncomfortable and even when you don’t feel like it that will keep you moving forward in building a successful business.

This is a crucial distinction. By starting your own home based business, you did not sign up for a job. You started a business that you can build from home and one that you are now fully responsible for, as well.
