Why You Shouldn’t Mail Information to Prospects

Published by Lisa Kitter at 2:48 pm under Prospecting

When they ask you to mail them information it is generally a stall tactic. A tactic prospects use when they don’t want to make a decision. Remember your looking for a yes or a no…just make a decision! I have found that mailing information only prolongs the close and now puts you into “chase mode.”

You are a professional sorter. You interview prospects to see if they possess the characteristics you’re looking for in a team member. You are available to assist those individuals who are looking for a better life than they currently experience. However, you do not chase anyone, ever!

You are selective and carefully sort for the right people to join your team. You are as diligent about it as you would be if you were sifting for gold. You are sorting for the ones you desire working along side of in building an outstanding organization. That can only be done by being selective.

Remember, you are a leader and you decide who joins your business. Do they posses the qualities you’re looking for? Are they friendly, enthusiastic, and determined? You’re interviewing very carefully to find out.
