You are so right on! If you do not forgive, it will gnaw away at you from the inside out! It took me a very long time to forgive something. I equated forgiveness with forgetting. Over time, I came to realize that they were not one in the same. I will never forget what happened, nor should I! We all learn from our mistakes right, so why would I want to forget it? I also learned in time that forgiveness was not for the person that wronged ME, the forgiveness was a gift that I gave to myself to heal. Forgiving allows us to heal.
